Registration Details
Main Conference: November 26- 28, 2010

Participation is open to all individuals interested in microbiology and allied sciences. There is no distinction between IAMM members and non-members in this regard. However, IAMM members will be given preference in registration for pre-conference workshop, seminar and in acceptance of papers. IAMM membership is mandatory for presenting paper in award session. Those desirous of attending should fill in the registration FORM A and mail it to the Conference Secretariat along with appropriate registration charge.

Pre-Conference workshop and seminar: November 24 & 25, 2010.

Note that pre-conference workshop and seminar cannot be attended in isolation. Participants MUST register for the main conference also. Since seats in pre-conference workshop would be limited to 20 each, preference would be given to postgraduate students, research scholars and IAMM members. Number of seats available for Pre-conference seminar would be 100 each. Kindly see the relevant section for detail programmes and delegate fees. Please indicate the Workshop No / CME No intended to attend while filling up the FORM A.

Registration fees:

a. Student delegates MUST submit proof of their student status duly endorsed by Head of the Institution.
b. A delegate will have status of a Corporate if his or her registration charges are being borne by a commercial organization otherwise he/ she will be considered a non-member.
c. Spouses and children above five years of age / colleagues can be registered as Associate delegates.
d. Foreign delegates would be applicable to foreign passport holders.

Photocopies of all the forms are acceptable and they may also be downloaded from the website (www.microcon10.com).

A/C Payee Demand Draft only should remit registration and all other charges, favoring MICROCON 2010 and payable at Kolkata.

Delegate’s Privileges (including Student/ Non-member/ Corporate):

• Attend all events & sessions of the conference.
• Attend cultural programmes.
• Receive delegate kits, souvenir and all official documents of the conference.
• Attend breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and banquet at the conference.
• Receive participation certificate.

Associate Delegate’s Privileges:

• Attend all events & sessions of the conference.
• Attend cultural programmes.
• Attend breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner and banquet at the conference.

Cancellations & Refunds:

• Requests for cancellation should be sent in writing to the Organizing Chairperson at the address mentioned in the form.
• 20% of the Registration & Accommodation charges will be deducted as service charge on cancellation request received by 31. 10. 2010.
• Cancellation requests received after 31.10.2010 will not be entertained.
• All approved refunds will be issued within 60 days after the Congress.

General Information:

Venue:   SWABHUMI, the Heritage Plaza is a new addition to the important locations in Kolkata (Calcutta), situated on the northern side of Subhas Sarobar at Beliaghata. It is just opposite the Hyatt Regency Hotel on the Eastern Metropolitan Byepass. It is also within walkable distance from NICED, Calcutta.

Language: The official language of the conference is English.

Climate: The weather in Kolkata in November is very pleasant. Light woolen clothes may be required at night only. The temperature varies from 15˚C to 25˚ C.

Visa: Please check with your travel agent.

Airport: NSCBI airport is the nearest airport for Kolkata. The airport is about 12 km from the conference venue and approximately 25 km from the venue of CME and workshop. Private and public transports are available to and from the airport.

Railway station: Nearest rail station is Sealdah station. Both conference venue and hotels will be accessible from both Howrah and Sealdah stations.

Letter of Invitation: A computer- generated letter of invitation may be obtained through the official e-mail address on furnishing formal request. Please take a note that this letter can not be regarded as a commitment of scheduling or financial support from the organizers.

Exhibition: A professional exhibition will be held concurrently with the conference.
